Vibrant Denver Bond Package Released

The mayor’s office has proposed their $935 million Vibrant Denver Bond package. With their project list (found here), the executive committee and mayor’s office are aiming to fund citywide improvements, from roads and mobility to parks, community centers, and affordable housing.

For Hilltop, this has meant a few projects that impact our neighborhood or nearby.

  • Traffic Calming & Pedestrian Safety: targeted improvements for Holly St. and 6th Ave Parkway

  • Intersection Upgrades: 1st Ave. and University Blvd. in Cherry Creek will be slated for major improvements to manage increased traffic

That said, Council Woman Sawyer has voiced strong opposition to the released list, emphasizing her determination to push for a package that truly reflects local priorities. She and other council members insisted on greater transparency and input, especially regarding which projects make the cut and how much they’ll cost.

We at the HNA hope that there will be more projects in and around Hilltop that can benefit our community. Join us to advocate for those projects!
