Trash, Recycling, & Snow
Denver Waste Schedule: Find your schedule and sign up for alerts here. The neighborhood is on two different schedules, depending on your address!
Snow Removal: Denver requires that property owners clear snow and ice from their sidewalks, including adjacent ADA ramps and bus stops, so that EVERYONE has safe access throughout the city! Residents have 24 hours after snow has stopped falling to clear their walks. If you need assistance shoveling your walk, contact the Denver Snow Angels.
Plowing: The City of Denver does NOT plow side streets (most of Hilltop) unless significant snowfall occurs (typically 6+ inches or during major weather events). If
There are many locations throughout Denver where snow and ice accumulate in the gutters when daytime warming melts the snow and the water freezes at night. This problem is most common on the south side of east-west streets but can also occur anytime that the gutter or street is shaded by structures, tall vegetation, trees or fences. To report problem areas, contact 311 or report the issue online.

Denver Permitting and Zoning information - Denver's online permitting system offers an easy, convenient way to navigate the building process. You can find information on zoning here. Hilltop is generally zoned as “E-SU-G”, which means Urban Edge, Single Unit, 9,000 sqft. minimum lot size.
