Mike Strait
Mike has lived in Hilltop since 2023 after semi-retiring and moving from Colorado Springs. He joined the Hilltop Board to contribute his efforts in fostering community in his new neighborhood. Mike is an attorney and been an educator for the past 20 years; today he serves as a high school substitute business teacher in DPS and the Cherry Creek District.
In his free time, he enjoys cycling, photography, and the arts. Mike serves on the both Zoning Committee and the Bylaws Committee.
Sandi Barenbaum
Sandi moved back to Hilltop in 2005 and joined the board as she strongly believes in the importance of neighborhood advocacy. In the past, she served as the President of a Civic Association in northern Virginia where they faced off with the county park system and school board to save 12 houses from a surprise demolition plan and find a reasonable alternative. She is currently a part of the Zoning and Nominations committees.
Andy Walvoord
Andy joined the board to help keep Hilltop a great neighborhood for families. He chairs the Crime and Safety Committee, and when he is not thinking about ways to keep Hilltop safe, he enjoys fly fishing and gardening. One fun fact about Andy is that he is a 2009 Jeopardy champion.
Mary Morissette
Mary is on the board because she is appointed to represent Hilltop on the Cherry Creek Steering Committee. She serves on the Zoning Committee and enjoys being involved with the neighborhood meaningfully. Mary is an architect and has practiced in Denver for 30 years specializing in healthcare and criminal justice projects. One of her favorite projects has been the Lindsay Flanigan Courthouse at the Denver Justice Center.
Larry Donovan
Larry moved to Hilltop with his family in 1971 and joined the Association a few years later. He has been a member since the mid-’70s and was the President at one time. He has been involved with real estate issues for the Association throughout the years monitoring numerous surrounding developments that have impacted Hilltop, especially traffic. Larry is also involved in the Cherry Creek Steering Committee and was a founding member of the Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce.
